Coronavirus Information

We are happy to be welcoming guests back to our cottage, but we are sure you will appreciate that there are still measures we all must take to ensure the safety of ourselves and our communities.

Following industry advice set out by the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers and 40 years of experience in health and social care from one of our owners, we have developed a comprehensive set of protocols for cleaning, management, and guest relations in order to preserve safety and cleanliness in the ongoing pandemic. These include:

  • A risk assessment for the property
  • Hand sanitiser, anti-bacterial soap and cleaning products for guests
  • An enhanced, comprehensive cleaning checklist
  • PPE, safe cleaning products, and virucidal disinfectants for our cleaner
  • Removal of non-essential items that would create risky touch-points

Please note that our cot and highchair are currently unavailable. You are welcome to bring your own travel cot and highchair if you are traveling with an infant.

Prior to arrival, guests will be emailed a booklet detailing the precautions we ask them to take, as well as advice about activities in the area.

Our efforts mean that we are now certified under the ‘Good to Go’ scheme. This new industry standard and consumer mark was created by tourist bodies from across the UK and is designed to reassure visitors, communities and businesses, as the tourism sector reopens after lockdown.

We hope that these measures will help you to book with confidence. Please get in touch of you have any questions or would like to know more.

We encourage all potential guests to keep up to date with the advice and restrictions of the Scottish government when booking and traveling. Do not travel if you are unwell.
